The seminar, with successful completion of a quiz, (which is approximately 25 multiple choice questions), gives an agent 15 continuing education credit hours (the maximum per course allowed by the Illinois Department of Insurance). This is accomplished by distributing books to agents in advance of the seminar. It's the honor system that the agent will read the book before attending the seminar. The early distribution of books also serves an added benefit of being able to ask any/all questions they may have, directly to the administrator, throughout the seminar.
During the seminar, the topic is presented, questions are answered & an open book test will follow promptly at the seminars completion. After the quiz is completed, it's submitted to one of our PT staff members (who attends the seminar in addition to the presenter) for grading. Successfully completed with a score of 70% or better, a letter of completion is handed over to the agent that states the 15 credit hours will be reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance.
